LED Area Curing Lamps: DELOLUX 20 Series

The LED area lamps of the DELOLUX 20 series enable rapid curing of extensive adhesive layers through homogeneous exposure. These LED area lamps can be adjusted to individual production settings and flexibly integrated into fully automated assembly lines.

What are DELOLUX LED Area Curing Lamps?

The DELOLUX 20 series of LED lamps are high intensity area lamps. Distributing light homogeneously, an area lamp enables curing of larger areas in a matter of seconds.

See our “Knowledge Base Document” for a guide to “Lamps for Curing UV Adhesives”, providing an overview of the different lamp technologies available.

Detailed technical information on DELO’s light-cured adhesives can be found here.

For large areas that need consistent illumination for curing

The DELOLUX 20 series lamps are ideal for light curing large areas. Up to four lamp heads can be connected to a single control unit. However, due to their compact design, the lamp heads of models DELOLUX 20, DELOLUX 202, DELOLUX 203, and DELOLUX 204 can theoretically be combined without limitation. They can be arranged either in series or in a grid pattern to illuminate adhesive surfaces of any size in both the x and y directions. In such scenarios, multiple DELOLUX pilot A series control units are required. Depending on the requirement, various cooling mechanisms are available for the lamp heads, such as active air cooling, cleanroom-suitable water cooling, and passive cooling.

Another advantage of these area lamps

One of the key benefits of these area lamps is their low heat output, as the LEDs serve as cool light sources. The device’s intelligent control system ensures stable process parameters by compensating for any increase in LED temperature after switch-on, preventing a drop in intensity. With a lifespan exceeding 20,000 hours and consistently high light intensity, they provide optimal performance over their entire lifespan. These lamps can also be seamlessly integrated into existing automation systems through the DELOLUX pilot A series, which supports programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The plug-and-play design of the DELOLUX pilot A series makes installation and setup both quick and straightforward.

DELOLUX 204

The DELOLUX 20 and DELOLUX 202 are actively air-cooled lamp heads with an integrated axial fan. The main difference lies in the shape of the lamp heads: the DELOLUX 20 emits light over an area of 100 × 100 mm.

The air cooling is fully automated and offers several advantages: no additional components are required, it is suitable for high cooling capacities, and it includes a controllable fan for optimal thermal management.

Like the DELOLUX 20, the DELOLUX 202 features active air cooling via an integrated axial fan. However, the DELOLUX 202 emits light over an area of 202 × 49 mm.

As with the DELOLUX 20, the air cooling in the DELOLUX 202 is also controlled fully automatically and offers the same advantages.

The DELOLUX 203 is a passively cooled lamp head that can optionally be operated with an external water cooling profile. Advantages of passive cooling include silent and vibration-free operation. In addition, the machine base can often be used for heat dissipation, providing additional convenience.

Water cooling with an external cooling profile offers several advantages: it enables individually adaptable cooling profiles, is suitable for use in cleanrooms, operates vibration-free and with low noise, and also allows the handling of very high cooling capacities.

The DELOLUX 204 uses an integrated water cooling profile.

This offers several advantages: it is suitable for use in cleanrooms, operates vibration-free and with low noise, and also supports high cooling capacities.
