What do Ferrite – Rotor Bonding Adhesives do?

Ferrite rotor bonding is a critical process in electric motor assembly, particularly in automotive and industrial applications where vibration, temperature extremes, and chemical exposure are common.

DELO-ML anaerobic adhesives provide a high-performance solution for bonding ferrites to zinc-plated rotor bells, offering superior durability and ease of processing. The adhesives are applied between the ferrite and the metal housing after joining. Initial strength is achieved in as little as 20 seconds.

These one-part adhesives need no mixing and have unlimited working lifetimes. Permanent impact resistance is achieved even after aging at 80°C for 1,500 hours and at -40°C for 500 hours. The assembled parts survive a drop test of 1.5 metres.

Application Process

The adhesive is applied between the ferrite and the rotor bell after joining. No fixture is required, and the bond line remains stable during curing. Light-curing can be used to accelerate handling strength in visible areas.
