The JETx is an inkjet printer for mass production, designed to enable optimum throughput, low cost of ownership, whilst maintaining high product quality and reliability in 24/7 operation. The SUSS JETx inkjet printer is the most advanced platform from SUSS for printing functional materials. With a highly a modular architecture, the JETx can be configured for a wide range of applications.
Designed for fully automated production, the SUSS JETx is typically configured for processing large volumes of customer-specific products. The SUSS JETx system has a granite base for superior stability and extremely high stage accuracy and printing precision, combined with high throughput and lowest cost of ownership. It is based on three standard platforms, the JETx-S, JETxSM and JETx-P, each system targeting specific application areas and product sizes.
Highlights of the JETx industrial inkjet printer include: Modular architecture enables fast and reliable application-specific functionality; high reliability and productivity; flexible process flow editor; customizable configuration for best cost of ownership and process control; compatible with solvent-based, aqueous, hot melt and UV-curable inks; easy to operate and maintain.
The system is upgradable with a number of software options including the advanced gerber file rasterizer. This enables conversion of Gerber files to an inkjet printable bitmap format. Droplet size compensation prevents lines from becoming too wide, and gaps from becoming too small whilst ink coverage control, controls the ink density along the print periphery and within the interior. Other software options include the automated print optimization (APO),which offers benefits such as the highest possible print quality with fast and effective print analysis and the automatic variation across all available parameters.
As with the desktop LP50 the JETx mass production inkjet printer is compatible with a range of printheads and cartridges including the Konica Minolta1024i and the Fujifilm Dimatix cartridge (DMC) a disposable printhead cartridge.

What is an Automated Inkjet Printer for Printed Electronics?
An automated inkjet printer for printed electronics is a fully digital, additive manufacturing system designed for high-volume semiconductor, advanced packaging and electronics production.
Unlike traditional subtractive methods, inkjet printing precisely deposits functional materials directly onto wafers or panels, exactly where they are needed. This process supports complex topographies, removes the need for masks and cuts down on material waste.
Key Components of a Automatic Inkjet Printer for Printed Electronics
- Printheads: Multiple printheads (128–2048 nozzles); droplet sizes from 2.0 to 80 pL.
- Inks: Supports multiple ink types aqueous, hotmelt, solvent-based, UV-curable
- Motion Platform: Ultra-stable, high-speed & accuracy X, Y, Z, and rotational stages
- Vision & Metrology: Integrated alignment and dynamic metrology systems
- Substrate Chuck: With clamping and optional heating and cooling systems
- Printhead Maintenance Station: Automated purging, spitting, capping, and wiping
- Integrated Curing: Enables simultaneous printing and curing, UV and NIR
